Favorite LGBTQ Couples | Bookish List

I have been talking a lot about my favorite couples these last few weeks (Favorite Secundary Couples and My OTP’s of 2016), it’s just that I love bookish lists and it seems couples have been on my mind for some reason. At the beggining I wasn’t sure why, but as I thought about it, I came to the conclusion that I’m probably missing my  boyfriend, because we are doing long distance for the summer (kind of! ) since I’m visiting my family in my hometown. It’s likely you don’t care about this, but it just seem interesting to me how real life affects the things we choose to blog about (or at least  it does for me).

In that sense, I want to talk about something else. I wrote this post a few days before the Orlando shooting, but I felt I couldn’t post this after what happen without mentioning that the need and the importance of this type of post has only been reinforced by this act of violence. The reason for posting this is the same before and after the shooting. I want to spreed respect, love, and understanding. I hope to accomplish that at least in a small way.

Here are some of my favorite LGBTQ couples:
the-raven-king-maggue-stiefvater

Adam and Ronan (The Raven Cycle series by Maggie Stiefvater)

I have talked about them in so many posts by now that it’s probably annoying by now, but I can’t help it. They were perfect in The Raven King; I loved the way the relationship between them unfolded. All their scenes were so cute and captivating; they were  adorable together and they grew so much as characters through out the series. I just ship them a lot, ok?!

Aristotle and Dante (Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Alejandro Alire Saenz)

I’m just gonna say one thing, when I first read this book I was obssesed with the last scene between them. It was so cute and touching. I don’t know how many times I re-read that scene when I finished the book, but it was a lot of times. They were adorable together and especially Dante was so sweet.

Emi and Ava ( Everything Leads to You by Nina LaCour)

Recently, I realised I had not read books were the LGBTQ characters were two girls and it was such and I knew inmediately that I had to change that. This book had been on my tbr for a realy long time, so I picked it up. I loved the way their relationship developed throughout the book and it was a really fun slow burning romance.

Alec and Magnus ( The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare)
I never really shipped this couples throughout the TMI series, I liked them, but that was it. It wasn’t until I read about them in some of the stories in the Bane Chronicles that I started to really ship them. After reading the story about them in one of the stories of Tales of the Shadowhunter Academy, I’m all on board with this ship.

Neil and Andrew (All for the Game series by Nora Sakavic)

These two are very complex characters, but they worked really well as a couple. I loved the way their relationship developed and I loved the reaction of the rest of the team when they started to suspect that they were dating.

Have you read any of these books? Did you enjoy them? Do you like any of this couples? Tell me about your favorite LGBTQ couples in the comments, I would love to know!
