Most Anticipated Book Releases – March 2018

Most anticipated book releases 2018

I want to give a special mention to Marriage of Inconvenience by Penny Reid and Alphas Like Us by Krista & Becca Ritchie, which were my most anticipated releases of March 2018. I got an arc of Marriage of Inconvenience and read it last month, and Alphas Like Us is already out so I read it. Because I have already read them, I didn’t include them on this list.

Here are my other most anticipated book releases of March 2018:

The Pros of Cons by Alison Cherry, Lindsay Ribar & Michelle Schusterman

I love books full of female friendship and this sounds exactly like that. The main characters are all going to different conventions and end up meeting and becoming friends, I think that’s a great set up to a very interesting story.

Release date: March 27th 2018

Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi

There’s so much hype surrounding this book and I have heard nothing but good things about it. There’s some people comparing it to Black Panther, which has me really intrigued. I love the fact that lately there’s more fantasy books with POC main characters and especially black MC, so I’m excited to read this one.

Release date: March 6th 2018

Emergency Contact by Mary H.K. Choi

I really like YA books set in college and this one sounds interesting to me, especially, because I hve heard this is a lighter contemporary, which I really need sometimes. Also, I really like the idea of the main characters communicating mainly via text throughout the story.

Release date: March 27th 2018

The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo

I have read a book with slam poetry before and I really liked it, so I’m excited to get another on written by an actual slam poet. Also, Im excited because both the author and the main character are latinx. #ownvoices books where I can see myself in anyway are always somthing I look forward to.

Release date: March 6th 2018

To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo

I have never read a book about mermaids, but this one sounds mysterious and dark and I’m excited to give it a chance. In this book, we have a siren that kills princes and a prince that kills sirens and I’m intrigued about how their story will unfold.

Release date: March 6th 2018

The Astonishing Color of After by Emily X.R. Pan

This is a book about grief and from what I have heard it’s written in an astonishing beautiful way. Also, I know there’s mental illness representation and it seems it’s done in a very sensitive way.

Release date: March 20th 2018

What January book releases are you anticipating? Do you want to read any of this books? Have you read any of this books and what did you think about it?
