Most Anticipated Book Releases of October 2018: books I can’t wait to get my hands on!

Most anticipated book releases 2018

September and October are always the best months for releases in my opinion, so I have some amazing book that I can’t wait to get my hands on!

The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy by Mackenzi Lee

I read and enjoyed the first book in this series and I can’t wait to read Felicity’s story, since she is one of my favorite characters from book one. In this sequel, Felicity is looking for a way to accomplish her dream of becoming a doctor, in a time when men are seen as the sole guardians of science, and in this persue,  she becomes part of a perilous quest.

Release Date: October 2nd 2018

Blanca & Roja by Anna-Marie McLemore

I’m a huge fan of Anna-Marie McLemore, I LOVE When The Moon Was Ours, and I can’t wait to read her next book. I’m definetely adding this to my Latinx Book Bingo TBR since I completely forgot this was coming out during the readathon. This is the story of two sisters that are rivals because of a curse that one day will leave one of them a girl and trap the other in the body of a swan.

Release Date: October 9th 2018

What If It’s Us by Becky Albertalli & Adam Silvera

This is the story of  Arthur and Ben, who meet-cute at the post office, and what the universe have in store for them. I have never read an Adam Silvera book and that really needs to change but I’m scared of how sad his books seem to be, so I’m excited to read this one, because after reading Simon vs the Homosapiens Agenda, I’m sure Becky won’t let him crush our heart too badly. RIGHT?!

Release Date: October 9th 2018

A Very Large Expanse of Sea by Tahereh Mafi

It’s 2002, a year after 9/11. It’s an extremely turbulent time politically, but especially so for someone like Shirin, a sixteen-year-old Muslim girl who’s tired of being stereotyped. I’m so excited to read this kind of story from an #ownvoices author, and I’m even more excited because I have heard nothing but great things from people who got arcs.

Release Date: October 16th 2018

Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas

This is my most anticipated release of the entire year, I have been reading these books for the longest time and I just want to know how everything ends …who am I kidding? I’M DYING TO KNOW HOW THIS ENDS.  Aelin’s journey from slave to king’s assassin to the queen of a once-great kingdom reaches its heart-rending finale as war erupts across her world.

Release Date: October 23rd 2018

What October book releases are you anticipating? Do you want to read any of these books? Have you read any of these books and what did you think about them?
